DuitNow on ILT8MY is a bank-to-bank or QR credit generated inside the cashier—not a phone-number transfer you invented. This page stays on DuitNow: how the QR and proxy work, why the amount must match, and when you should use Touch n Go instead. It is not a second copy of the all-rails deposit guide.
DuitNow is not Touch n Go
TnG spends a prepaid wallet. DuitNow pulls from a bank account (or a wallet that speaks DuitNow) using a proxy or QR. If your bank account is empty and your TnG wallet is full, TnG is the rail. If the opposite is true, DuitNow is the rail.
Cashier QR only
Open cashier → DuitNow → let ILT8MY draw the QR. Scan it from the bank app on the same phone or another device you control. A QR forwarded in a group is not your cashier.
Proxy and reference IDs
Some flows show a DuitNow ID or reference instead of a QR. Copy it from the cashier, not from memory. A one-digit typo is a payment to the wrong place.
Codes expire
QR and proxies time out. If you screenshot a code at 9pm and pay at 11pm, you may pay a dead session. Generate a fresh one.
Amount must match
Type the same MYR figure the cashier asked for. Underpaying stalls matching. Overpaying creates a remainder ticket. Do not “round up for luck.”
Return to the lobby
After the bank says success, return to ilt8.my and wait for the balance. If it is empty after 15 minutes, send the DuitNow reference once.
When to skip DuitNow
Skip when the cashier banner says DuitNow maintenance, when you only have TnG balance, or when you are in a hurry and TnG is already green. See maintenance.
Frequently asked questions
Can I pay a personal DuitNow ID from chat?
No. Only the ID or QR from the logged-in cashier.
Is DuitNow faster than FPX?
Sometimes. Both depend on the bank. Speed is not the reason to pick a dead QR.
Can I reuse last week’s QR?
No. Generate a new one.
Does DuitNow work for withdrawals?
If the cashier offers it as a payout rail, yes—after the usual checks. Otherwise use the destination you deposited from.
